Method: Each piece is unique. Some of my clayworks are pinched, coiled or a combination of coils and throwing on the wheel. Stoneware clay, high-fired for best durability and strength.
My pottery is influenced by the Japanese aesthetic that highly regards the beauty of imperfection known as Wabi-Sabi which appreciates non-conformity and mostly non-symmetrical shapes.
Rustic Bowl – 4 unique bowls in total. Not uniform in size but generally similar in size. Can be purchased separately.

Meet the Artist
AESHA KENNEDY
My art is inspired by nature and by my natural inclination to explore the spiritual in the material. I love to immerse myself in nature’s stillness, beauty, aliveness, textures, colours, shapes. Sometimes I sketch out in nature, but what really happens on my sojourns into nature is an absorption on many levels that later comes out into my work.
I create mostly intuitively. What that means is what I see, feel, witness becomes shapes, marks, colour. I endeavour to express what has touched my heart and soul equally if not more so, than what I actually visually see before me.
